Progressive Web Apps(PWA) are no longer restricted to Android users but can now be accessed by iPhone users with the 11.3 iOS update. Apple added support for service workers and app manifest files that make PWAs work.
How to experience PWA on iOS devices
Adding a PWA to your iPhone is a bit complex when compared to Android. So the user has to visit the website within Safari and then manually press the Share icon and then “Add to Home Screen” There will be no indication that a website you are visiting is a PWA.
After that, you can name the WebApp whatever you like when adding it to your device.
Note: Safari & iPhone / iOSCompatibility – They said it’s impossible but we can’t stop helping our users improve the user experience and thus we created a solution in a way that the CTA’s will give a great user experience in the Safari and iOS browsers as well.
